Cultural Partnership Agreement

The three-year partnership will help companies plan, grow, develop and achieve ACM`s strategic goals. ▪The initiative aims, in collaboration with partner countries, to promote the development of cultural competences and create a global cultural network by sharing information with international cultural experts and implementing collective artistic activities with them. It is a representative cultural ODA project to support the training of cultural experts in underdeveloped countries and their artistic activities through the exchange of cultural labour. It ensures a basis for the promotion of Korean culture abroad through diverse and continuous cultural exchanges between cultural institutions and interest groups such as cultural organizations, foreign exchange partners and Korean representations abroad. ▪ A research institute under the wing of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism carried out a survey on the cultural exchange project in 2014. The results of the survey are as follows. (1) The Cultural Partnership Initiative was the most recognised among ODA projects (2) Participants in the Cultural Partnership Programmes replied to the survey that the project had strengthened the economic, social and cultural profile of Korea. ▪The project includes activities to invite cultural partners in underdeveloped countries to co-produce works of art, appoint a secretariat, organize workshops and discussion meetings, and organize follow-up programs to artists` post-production activities. The main activities are the co-production of works of art with invited professional artists from underdeveloped countries in Asia and Africa. The applicant must be a volunteer organisation registered with the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations or a registered cooperative in which at least one main contributor is in full-time equivalent in the cultural and creative sector. If your organization is already receiving strategic cultural investments or receiving a grant during the eligibility period, you are not allowed to do so.
